Labyrinthine: Chapter 5 Puzzle Walkthrough And Guide (2024)

Chapter 5 of Labyrinthine has been out for a couple of months at least, but the developers have recently made the map easier.

In this chapter, the objective is to escape the swamp via a boat.

Here’s a walkthrough and guide of the puzzles in Chapter 5 of Labyrinthine.

As you begin the game, you’ll once again start somewhere dark, but there won’t be enemies at the start.

Head towards the lit building to save checkpoint.

Explore the area and you’ll find letters around that you can read to gain some clues.

Keep following the swamp until you reach a sign which points to the dock, but the door is locked.

How to unlock the door

To unlock the door that heads to the dock, you need to look for a key for a cabinet. Then, obtain a plier inside the cabinet to open the locked door.

But first, you have to swim through crocodile infested waters.

You will see them swimming in the water. Go through the swamp only when they’ve left the area. If you hear a tense music, it means the crocodile has spotted you or your teammate.

Head to the next lit building.

There’s a cabinet inside which contains a plier which is needed for the locked door. But first, you need to find a key for the cabinet.

Before leaving the building, turn on the lights at the swamp using the switch.

Now, swim to the next location using the floating objects to shelter against the crocodile and the lamps as a guide.

You will then reach a building which contains a wrench.

Keep heading forward following the lit buildings.

You’ll eventually reach a building which has a blocked door.

Use the newly-found wrench to get rid of the planks blocking the door.

Head to the dock area

After opening the door, continue to follow the signs.

You will see a house on your left but the door is still locked. Continue heading straight.

You will then reach the sluice gates. In this area, you will notice that you have to find sluice gate parts to repair the sluice gate.

Your objective is to repair the sluice gate to remove the water from the swamp, but this requires you to find a couple of things.

Main objective to repair the sluice gate

If you press TAB, you’ll see your objectives.

You have to find the following items in the area:

Sluice gate parts x 6

Keys for the boat x 1

Fuel for the boat x 4

To find all of the parts, you basically need to go through every single building in the area as it’s hard to pinpoint exactly which building has which part, considering there’s no map in the game.

In the first area, you’ll immediately see a pig pen.

You should find the key inside the pig pen.

Also, take the blue medallion before leaving the pig pen.

Explore the other buildings in the area as well to look for parts.

You should then come across an area with water but it’s blueish. It’s basically electricity and falling into the water means death.

To cross this part, use the objects floating on the water.

Some parts require you to sprint and jump. Use the tree log to continue forward.

Eventually, you’ll reach a building. Inside the building, touch the wires to get rid of the electricity.

Then, head upstairs.

Turn the wheel to open a gate.

Use the gate just beneath the wheel.

In the next part, you will reach even more houses at the pier area. Explore every single house to find sluice gate parts and fuel.

There may also be blue medallions hiding.

If you come across a house with a crocodile sign, avoid jumping into the water as there’s nothing for you to search there.

All of the items required are in houses.

In this area, you have to watch out for two types of monsters. One is a mosquito-like creature that kills you.

Shining a flashlight towards it will repel it for a small amount of time.

Another creature looks like a gigantic porcupine. This one can be avoided by crouching and hiding behind objects, but they usually take you by surprise.

Once you’re done finding all gate parts and fuel, go back to where the sluice gate is.

Place two sluice gate parts for each sluice gate machinery, and interact with it. There are three sluice gate machinery in the area. Two of them are on the same bridge, while the third is located nearby.

Exit the area

After the water is drained, you can now walk on the previously flooded area. The stairs heading downwards is just below the bridge with the two machinery that you just repaired.

Just follow the path and you’ll reach another dock sign.

You will eventually reach a big workshop / wood factory.

The door on the left is locked but you can open it at a later stage.

In the area, you’ll find that the porcupine-like monster is roaming around the building. Avoid it and look for the keys on both sides of the building.

There will be two keys in the area (right-side and left-side of the building).

After getting the keys, look for the walkway inside the building that leads to the upper floor. It’s on the right-side.

You will then see a note with instructions on how the machine works.

Open up the log clamp first.

Then, turn on the control panel.

Once the log is inside the clamp, interact with it to close the clamp.

Then, interact with it again so that the wood is chopped, and press again to push the wood away.

The chopped wood becomes a bridge to the other side.

At the other side, there’s a way to go out of the factory to a new area with stairs heading below.

There’s another monster in this area, and it might be a good idea to open the locked door near the factory entrance in case you die and respawn. It saves time.
