What would be the fair value for a 2012 PRHT touring model that has the suspension package and around 7k miles? The seller describes it as being in excellent condition and the pictures make it seem that way. It is a fair ways away from me so I'd like to know pricing before I make an offer / long drive. Right now they are asking around $21k which seems high.
Also, What is the general discount for the touring vs the grand touring in a '12 or the club vs grand touring in the '13s?
Thanks!

From my experience: My 2012 PRHT GT (with suspension and premium packages) did not sell last year with 9K miles for months at $20K. I eventually traded it towards an Impreza for my wife, and the Subaru dealership sat on it for several more months at $20,000 before they gave up and auctioned it off to Florida.
That said, I'd agree that $21K seems high. I think $18K could buy the car in question, based on what I've seen on eBay, Autotrader, etc.
As for discount from models, the GT had leather and a few bells and whistles. I'd guess you could look up the original sticker price and compare, I know the MSRP on the Grand Touring with all the options in 2012 was over $30K.
With the ND's arrival, I suspect the market is pretty saturated with low mileage NC's that were traded in. The dealers may argue that they're only a few years old and stickered at blah, blah... but there are still leftover NC's around, and the season (at least here in the Northeast) is winding down.
Be patient, don't spend more than you want to, NC opportunities should be plentiful! Good luck!

If you like it offer him 18,000 subject to an in person final inspection. I paid 22,000 for mine in Nov, 2014, it was virtually new with 1,646 miles and it was in Texas if that matters. The car fax listed one owner and the selling dealer and everything checked out. It now has 13,000 miles and has been perfect. My window sticker was 30,000 brand new. It's a Grand Touring PRHT manual.

20k seems about what a 2012 GT would go for, with premium and suspension package, but it seems almost all the GT's came that way.

I second what you said. I've been scanning ads throughout using a Craigslist app and there are a lot of PRHT coming out and they are pretty well priced. Especially if you look at the earlier year models. Unless you like the upgraded front and tail and must have it. I like the integrated exhaust and the bigger grille up front but I don't think I like it that much more to spend $7k+ on it. Plus as Fall starts to roll around, I am guessing people will start selling theirs, after a few more weeks driving it, unless they are storing it for the winter.

I think I'm going to take your advice and be patient. I tend to keep my cars for a long time and the '12 Touring I posted about isn't exactly what I'm looking for. I do like the 2012 PRHT GT in the classifieds section that has been slightly modified, but I looked and Iowa is 18 hours / 1200 mile one way trip from SC. So I'll just keep my eyes out until one really strikes my fancy.
Thanks for all the feedback!
